SPIRIT FAIR

A couple of months ago I attended my first Spirit Fair that was held in Tulsa, OK at a hotel by the airport.  The admission was only six dollars which we thought was a bargain for the interesting lectures and vendors.  There were two large rooms - one containing about 20 vendors and another for the lectures.

Among the vendors was a couple with a special camera that took photographs of auras and which was then interpreted.  Of course I had to have that done and was delighted to see I was surrounded by my favorite color blue with a little pink on one side.  Supposedly that pink meant I was a little physic but I'm not feeling it!  My friend Brenda was surrounded in gold. Photographs of other people and their auras displayed at their booth showed that there are some basic auras that people can have with a few minor differences.  Which made me wonder if the camera was really taking a photo of my aura or if it randomly alternated the same colors around people.

There were lectures on spirit photography, EVP's (electronic voice phenomena) and the pro's and con's of ghost hunting.  But the only one we were really interested in was the Angel Messages given by a talented medium named Cyndy (and her spirit guide Tidbit).  This was the most unusual and entertaining gallery I have ever attended in my life. Participants are given a sheet of paper and asked to write any question they have for a deceased loved one, Tidbit, spirit or the universe.  You then sign your name and fold the paper which you hold between both hands and press to your chest.  An assistant passes a basket around for all to place their billet.  Billet is french for note.

While everyone is writing their question Cyndy is taping her eyes shut and then is blindfolded.  The basket filled with billets is placed on the table which she is standing behind and she takes out each billet and rubs it in her hands and on her forehead and she continues to do this throughout the entire hour. Then she begins her readings which appeared to be quite accurate (including names) for the lucky ones she read for, some of whom she left in tears.

There are videos of Cyndy on Youtube (search for Cyndy's angel messages) and of course there is her website www.cyndysangelmessages.com.  We really enjoyed Cyndy's sense of humor and without a doubt she is the most entertaining medium I have witnessed (and that includes the ones I have seen on tv).

GALLERY WITH BRANDIE CHRISMAN

This summer I attended a gallery which is a demonstration of a psychic medium's abilities.  It is basically a group reading and the cost is normally very reasonable ($25-$35).  A gallery usually will last a couple of hours and unfortunately not everyone will get a reading. But it does help you decide if the medium seems accurate enough that you want to make an appointment for a reading with him/her.

The gallery I attended with two of my friends showcased Brandie Chrisman and she had a turnout of about 30 people. She appeared to be just as accurate here as she was in my readings.  There was one particularly emotional reading for a woman whose late husband came through with their child.  Apparently he had a few things to apologize for.  Interestingly, there was a young man who came through who seemed to fit for more than one person, one of whom was one of my friends.  I have seen this happen on John Edward's show.  A grandmother came through with enough specific information (she was a dancer) that her grandson could identify her and on Brandie's website, www.brandiechrisman.com there is a video of that particular reading.

Before Brandie began her readings there was a demonstration of a didgeridoo used as harmonic (vibrational) therapy.  I had heard of a didgeridoo before but had never seen one (that I can remember) or had any idea they could be used this way.  Joseph Carringer has been playing the didgeridoo for over a decade and according to his pamphlet harmonic therapy is a form of sound therapy.  It is said to produce healing results by the same principles of ultrasound therapy.  I don't know if it can actually heal anything but I can testify that it is extremely relaxing to listen to!  I bought a couple of his CD's and listened to one while I relaxed in my recliner and found that it did facilitate meditation. NEW YORK CITY PSYCHICS

During a short trip to New York City with a couple of friends we stayed at the Affinia Hotel in Manhattan on 7th Street, directly across from Madison Square Garden.  This sign was practically next door to our hotel.  Unfortunately palm and tarot card readings were not what I was looking for, which was too bad because it would have been so convenient.  But, given lack of time and budget (we could only afford one night there) I did not attempt to inquire about the services and rates.  An office in Manhattan is pretty pricey and I figured his/her rates would be too.  Whoever it is must do quite a few readings to afford this location and stay in business. On Bob Olsen's website there is a medium in New York that I would have loved to have seen.  Bob had tested Glenn Klausner and found him to be legitimate, but at $350 for an hour he unfortunately was not in my budget.  (Plus cab fare to get to him.)

On a more recent trip to New York City with my husband it seemed there were signs everywhere for psychic services. I was so tempted to call for the five dollar special.  (I have a feeling it would have been a cold reading.)  Very curious about where Bobby's office could have been with charging such low rates.  I saw this sign as we were walking down 7th Ave toward Times Square.  Sort of hard to tell from the photo, but the girl is actually holding the sign.  I had to wonder if she worked an eight hour day walking around Manhattan with that sign.

On the way back from Times Square I saw two more advertisements for psychic services.
