EXCELLENT BOOK ON SHAMANISM

SHAMAN'S PATH: HEALING,  PERSONAL  GROWTH AND EMPOWERMENT, compiled and edited by Gary Doore is a well researched book about shamanism with no less than 16 PhDs, one MD and one MA contributing to this collection of writings.  For a well researched view of what shamanism is, this is the book to read.  More doctors and therapists are discovering that the shaman's methods are effective for healing and self discovery.  Published in 1988, it is available on Amazon.

For those who think that scientists don't believe in God or any higher power, you should watch and learn! I like how he explains the proof so anyone can understand it.

ORBS AT RENTIE GROVE CEMETERY ON HALLOWEEN

Rentie Grove Cemetery was established in 1904 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and is located in the midst of what is now a nice residential area.   A more or less forgotten fact about this century old cemetery is that some African American victims of the 1921 Tulsa race riot are said to be buried here.  I was having dinner a couple of miles away from the cemetery with a friend when I learned about Rentie Grove and it's history.  Luckily I had my camera with me and later after dinner we made a quick stop to take a few photos.  Actually, more than a few, more like 30 so I will share the best ones.  Please note that on a few of the graves are candles.  Most of the orbs are well above the ground, but a few are not.  The orbs are a little faint and I found I needed to adjust the screen of my laptop for best viewing.

THIRD READING WITH BRANDIE CHRISMAN

A few months ago I had my third reading with Brandie.  www.brandiechrisman.com  I appreciated her honesty when she told me that since this was my third reading and she was familiar with my family she was not sure that she would be accurate.  She was afraid that this knowledge would influence her reading.  I told her to try anyway and we would see what happens.

The first person to come through was a man who had died from cancer and whose wife was still living.  The couple had a very close bond and she was took care of him until he passed.  I wasn't sure who this was.  At first I thought it was a friend of ours but he didn't die from cancer and Brandie was sure that he did have cancer.  I think now the most likely candidate is the husband of one of my cousins that I rarely see.  She did have a very close bond with her husband and I know that she did take care of him during his last days but I don't know if he had cancer.  Since she doesn't really respond to emails and I don't know how I would bring his cause of death up in a conversation, I think I will have to see about getting a copy of his death certificate.

However, the next person to come through I knew and I was not surprised to hear from her.  It was Phyllis, the mother of Christine, who is one of my closest friends.  I have known them for over 40 years and I was the hospice volunteer for Phyllis when she was ill.  Brandie described her physical and mental state during her last months and that she was not related, but a friend.  Brandie also said that Phyllis was showing her a room with lots of flowers on the wall and thought there was something significant about the flowers.  When I asked Christine about this she sent me photos of six framed pictures of flowers that her Mother had bought years ago at an expensive store.  Christine had them hanging in her house now but stated that that was not all of them!

Brandie also talked about a round box that Phyllis was showing her.  Brandie was certain that it was round because she was trying to make it square but Phyllis wouldn't let her.  I also asked Chris about this but she had no clue.  She still had some unpacking to do of the contents of her mother's house so she would look for it.  However, it didn't take her long to find the round box.  I can't remember everything it contained but there was an antique toy that Christine had not seen before. 

The information that Brandie provided validated for Christine that her mom was still around.  They had always been very close and this was just what Christine had needed.  In my post of March 18, 2012 about one of Brandie's galleries that I took Christine to, her father and brother both came through.  So now Brandie has communicated with Chris's entire family!

ORBS IN HAUNTED ATCHISON, KANSAS

My trip to Atchison in October 2011 resulted in some of the best orb pictures I have ever taken.  We drove around town (with the guidance of a friend who is a resident) while I took random pictures.  Some in sequence seem to show the same orb.  Our first stop was the Sallie House, the time was around 10 pm.  After the Sallie House we drove around Benedictine College (the trolley tour does not go there).

 I made one of my friends get out of the car and pose with the house!
 

It appears that the orb starts at the top of the house and floats down to the ground.

ORBS IN WASHINGTON D.C.

During a family vacation to our nation's capitol in 2005 I naturally took nearly about 100 photos.  Not surprisingly I did capture a few orbs!  The first were in the Capitol Building in a room that was originally where the Supreme Court met.  We were taken on a tour by one of our Senator's interns.

The next one was the ceiling in the capitol building and the orb is to the right, center.

We also went to Colonial Williamsburg where we attended a one man play about Thomas Jefferson.  Looks like a few spirits went also!

MY AURA AND CHARKAS

Today I went to a Spirit Fair in Tulsa, Oklahoma and met with an intuitive artist, Lauren Kelley.  The first thing she said to me was that she saw a "pretty pink glow" around me.  (Later I had an aura photograph taken and imagine my surprise when it came out pink!!)  She saw that my crown charka was purple (or violet) which is what it was on my last aura photo.  My third eye and throat were blue and my third eye is opening up, as is my heart, to spirit. The bottom line I am told, is that I am becoming more open to spirit and intuition.

But more interesting to me was when she saw a large dog or wolf by my left side who was helping to guide me. I have lost two boxers in the past so it is nice to think that it could be one of them.  Then on my right side she felt a female presence that she thought was a grandmother or great grandmother who was almost masculine in her attitude, but on the other hand was very creative.  She drew her in orange for creativity.  One of my grandmothers was indeed an artist and talented seamstress so that is who I believe it to be.  As for being masculine, I don't know since she died when I was an infant.  However, her nickname was Johnny.  Don't ask me why.  Also on my left side is a white dove which also has something to do with spirit and guidance.  

I did enjoy the experience and plan on seeing her again at other spirit fairs.  It would be interesting to see what changes there will be in a few months.  I have included the picture that Lauren drew and my aura photograph that has my charkas on it as well.  This photograph was taken by a different vendor with a different camera than what had been used previously.  A few months later I had my aura photographed again by Aura Star who took my first two photos.  It was my third photo taken by them and it was similar in color to the first two.  So what I can conclude from this experience is that it is best to stay with a vendor who uses the same camera that was used in previous photos.  Unfortunately I didn't think to get and the name and manufacturer of the two cameras.  Made a note to myself to do that next time I get an aura picture taken!
